Out in Eatonia, SK Hagan Farms recently purchased a GrainVac VRX. While out on one of my adventures, I had the chance to discuss Mr. Hagan's thoughts on his new machine and how it was working for them so far. Click here to view the video on RatherBeVaccing, REM's YouTube Channel. His interest in REM GrainVacs began when he heard how well they separate grain from debris. In the past, they've had so many bugs in their grain that it's caused serious problems at the elevator. However, after using a demo VRX for 23 hours to load 40,000 bu - which they then hauled to the elevator - he was pleasantly surprised to find that there wasn't a single bug in their grain. Hagan was equally impressed with the speed of the VRX, despite the fact that they were holding back the rpm's to blow the bugs out, he figures they were still getting between 3,000 and 4,000 bu per hour. Best of luck with your new VRX, Hagan Farms! For anyone looking for more information on grain vaccing, subscribe to REM's YouTube Channel, RatherBeVaccing, or like REM GrainVac on Facebook.
